General Motors has officially unveiled the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The 2014 Corvette is the most powerful standard version of the Corvette ever offered with 450 hp and 450 pound-foot of torque. Chevrolet says that the new Corvette will be able to 60 mph in under 4 seconds and achieve more than one G of cornering grip.

The new Corvette is also expected to get better fuel economy than the current generation Corvette's 26 mpg on highway. GM says that the new Corvette shares only two parts in common with the previous generation Corvette. The 2014 Corvette has an all-new frame structure and chassis that also gets a new 6.2 L LT1 V-8 engine.

The car is also constructed from lightweight materials with the carbon fiber hood and a removable roof panel. The car also gets composite fenders, doors, and rear quarter panels. The car has an optimal 50/50 weight balance and will be offered with a special Z51 Performance Package making the car ready for the track with a dry-sump oiling system, limited slip differential, and more.
