AM General Hummer C- Series Launches in Kit Form

No engine, transmission, and other essential components included in this kit

For many years the US military has used all-terrain vehicles provided by AM General called the Humvee. A version of these vehicles were produced for a number of years by the company for civilians called the Hummer is no more, but if you have your heart set on owning a shiny new Humvee you can now purchase one as a C-Series kit.

That is assuming you have deep pockets, because the kit starts $59,995 and doesn't include some very important and essential components. The kit comes with a pre-assembled aluminum body and chassis structure. It also features screens, cross-members, geared hubs, half-shafts, and torsen differentials.

The hood and body are fully painted and the LED lights are preinstalled. The base kit comes with a soft top and soft doors and includes the main and secondary fuel tanks. The interior is also trimmed with camouflage accents and a new gauge package. There are number of options including solid doors with rollup windows, wheels, tires, a winch, and more. The things that none of the kits come with is the powertrain. That means you have to add your own engine, transmission, transfer case, and drive shafts.
