Volkswagen Announces New Passat Wolfsburg Edition

It seems more than a little odd to me to create a special edition of the vehicle with the goal of being cheap. That is exactly what Volkswagen has done with the announcement of a new trim level for the Passat that is coming in the middle of 2013. The car is the Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg edition.

The base price for the car will be $23,495. Volkswagen says that it will slot in its line between the base S model and the mid-level SE trim. The Wolfsburg edition will get several convenience features added to the base model at competitive price. The car will use a six-speed automatic transmission.

It will also feature Bluetooth technology, a multifunction steering wheel with audio and phone controls, automatic headlights, power exterior mirrors, and driver seat lumbar support. The Wolfsburg edition will also get distinctive 16-inch wheels, perforated V-Tex leatherette seating, power heated driver seat, satellite radio, and more.
