Nissan Armada

Another popular full-size SUV available in the US with a V-8 engine and three row seating is the Nissan Armada. The Armada is able to seat eight people and has four doors. It has a 5.6-liter V8 engine producing 317 hp and can get 19 mpg on highway. The starting price for the Armada is $41,290 for the base SV model. Ford Explorer

The new Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV that offers less space than full-size offerings on the market from other manufacturers, but makes up for that with an easier to handle stature and significantly better fuel economy. The Explorer starts at $29,100 and has a variety of engines available including a 3.5-liter EcoBoost and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost. The vehicle can get up to 28 mpg on the highway depending on the engine chosen. High-end models can go up to close to $50,000, but the new Explorer can be downright affordable if you’re looking for a budget people hauler with good looks.

Dodge Durango

Dodge redesigned its aging Durango SUV a couple years ago and it’s much nicer looking today. The vehicle is offering a wide range of models starting at $29,495. The standard engine is a V-6 producing a decent amount horsepower and offering a highway driving range of 550 miles. The Durango can also be optioned with the V-8 engine producing up to 360 hp. Dodge also boasts that the Durango has the best in class towing capacity when properly option at up to 7400 pounds.
