Movie car turns up on eBay

If you're a fan of the fast and furious movie franchise, you could easily love or hate the second film in the series. The movie was called 2 Fast 2 Furious and is known for bad acting, rather cheesy cars, and a cheesy storyline among other things. Even though the movie was pretty bad, some of the cars used in the film were interesting.

One of the cars that was actually used in the movie was the green Mitsubishi Evo that Paul Walker drove. While most of the cars used in the film were base model Mitsubishi Lancers fixed up to look like the big dog Evo, the only actual Evo used in the film is now up for sale on eBay.

According to the auction description, the car has only 800 miles on it and is street legal. It has the questionable paint scheme seen in the movie and honestly really just doesn't look that cool. The car has been in a private collection since 2011 and is apparently actually fast. The car is a real Evo VII and the only thing missing from the film is the onboard computer and it lacks the blowoff valve sound inside the car.

Fiat plans to co-operate with Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi on pickup trucks, enabling the Italian company to add to its lineup while conserving cash after merging with U.S. manufacturer Chrysler. Under a memo of understanding on the project, Mitsubishi will build as many as 170,000 trucks for Fiat over six years, with production beginning in the first quarter of 2016, Yuki Murata, a spokesman at the Tokyo-based company, said by phone. Targa crash signals end of race, but team still determined

Sep 18 2014 8:51am CDT | Source: Driving Canada

The car is a write-off. It’s not going to take crawling underneath to officially make the call, though of course they will. Mitsubishi Canada has taken a chance on this project, a huge, noisy, ballsy chance, and now the car sits crumpled, it’s carefully chosen stripes and decals torn, its metal obscenely lifted back from the front tires that bore the brunt of the sudden deceleration and jarring impact. A project over a year in the making ha ...

2015 Mitsubishi Mirage

Sep 18 2014 4:30am CDT | Source: The Car Connection

The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage has a singular distinction: It offers the best EPA gas-mileage rating of any car sold in the U.S. that isn't a hybrid or a plug-in electric car. That fuel efficiency, however, comes at a cost: The Mirage is not nearly as rewarding to drive as most of the other small cars on the market. The Mirag ...

Bristol Cars Returns From the Dead

Sep 17 2014 5:27pm CDT | Source: Car and Driver

Even by the high standards of eccentricity set by Britain’s small sports-car makers, Bristol was always in a class of its own. This is the carmaker that made Morgan look like Mitsubishi. Bristol’s former boss, Tony Crook, refused to let journalists drive its cars for many years on the (possibly reasonable) grounds that they “wouldn’t understand them.” The company last published production figures in 1981, when it ...
