Acura NSX Prototype Will Be Unveiled Prior to Honda Indy 200 Race at Mid-Ohio

Acura has announced that it will be officially unveiling a running prototype of its new NSX sports car at the mid-Ohio Raceway prior to the Honda Indy 200 race. The prototype vehicle will feature custom graphics and is set to lap the road course before the official race kicks off on August 4. The race will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network at 3 PM on August 4.

Honda says the prototype maintains the styling in proportions from the NSX Concept that was first seen during the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The production car uses a mid-mounted V-6 engine.

The prototype also uses Acura's three-motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD all wheel drive system. There is no word on when the production vehicle will roll in the showrooms or how much it will cost.
