Chevrolet has announced new police patrol vehicle will be added to its police lineup in the form of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Tahoe PPV is an automatic four-wheel drive pursuit vehicle added to the existing two wheel drive pursuit and four-wheel drive special service models.

Chevrolet says that the Tahoe PPV offers more power, better efficiency, and enhanced features developed specifically for law enforcement. The vehicle has an all new interior and exterior and uses an EcoTec3 powertrain.

The 5.3-liter V8 engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with special police service calibration for pursue performance. The engine offers 355 hp and 383 pound-foot of torque. The police vehicle also comes with an auxiliary battery providing the power officers need for radios, cameras, and laptops when the vehicle isn't running.
