The Jaguar F-Pace is set to be released at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The F-Pace will be the first SUV by Jaguar ever. The show is just around the corner but Jaguar decided to release an early image. The image shows the Jaguar F-Pace is the first ever SUV without any camouflage.
The production model is very close to the original C-X17 concept. The original concept was also unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2013. An F-Pace had also showed up as a support vehicle at the Tour de France 2015.
The head lights, tail lights, and side vents resemble many trademark Jaguar models. But the cross-over does it make it seem bulky. According to Jaguar the F-Pace will be a combination of the moves and styling of its other models.
The F-Pace will also come with the Jaguar’s All-Surface Progress Control low-speed cruise control. The brake-based torque vectoring feature is also included. The vectoring feature has been borrowed from the F-Type sports car. The aluminium-intensive construction of the F-Pace will keep it lightweight.
The name of the F-Pace is derived from an old Jaguar tagline. The tagline stated ‘Grace, Pace, and Space’. The F-Pace is equipped with a ubiquitous 3.0-liter supercharged V6. Small turbocharged four-cylinder engines from the company’s efficiency-focused “Ingenium” line are also added. The car will highlight sporty on-road handling rather than off-road capability.
“2015 is the 80th anniversary of Jaguar Cars and it has been a monumental year of transformation for the brand,” said Kevin Stride, Jaguar Land Rover Vehicle Line Director. “First, with the introduction of the innovative Jaguar XE and followed closely by the all-new XF. Today is a proud moment for Jaguar as we launch the F-Pace, our first compact luxury SUV.”
All-new Jaguar F-PACE will be available in the US market by spring 2016.
Full details of the all-new Jaguar F-PACE, including technical data and pricing will be confirmed on press day at the Frankfurt IAA – 15 September at 10:30hrs CEST.
The Jaguar F-PACE reveal film will be available online at www.jaguar.com from 20:15 CEST on 14th September 2015.
