New Lamborghini patent images were recently published. The images may well be the design of the upcoming Centenario. The Centenario is currently the most awaited vehicle by Lamborghini.
The Centenario will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the sports car brand. The patent images show a low-slung design featuring a pointed nose.
The design profile has an arc running from the tip of the front to the rear. The patent images show a shape which could slice through the air. The diffuser in the images is massive in size.
Meanwhile the top appears to be a small. Three exhausts are present in the rear and small one is present in the center. As is Lamborghini trademark the back of the vehicle seems non-existent.
It was previously reported the upcoming Centenario would be based on the Aventador. The patent images do show a vehicle design resembling the Aventador.
Lamborghini will only build 20 Centenario coupes and 20 Centenario convertibles. Each one of the 40 Centenario vehicles will be worth a huge sum of $2.4 million each.
The price may have seemed astronomical but rumor has it all of the Centenario vehicles are already sold. Some have suggested the Centenario may be released as soon as the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The patent rendering were obtained from the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market. The office handles patents and trademarks in the European Union.
However the patent documents do not mention the model name. The documents do mention the design patent was filed for on October 26, 2015 around the time we realized Centenario existed.
