New Audis to Come with Porsche’s Twin-Turbo V-8 Engine

Porsche is all set to introduce a New Twin Turbo V-8 Engine.

A twin turbo V-8 Engine is about make its appearance in the new Audi and other big brand cars.

Porsche is all set to take the new development on the V-8 engines. The V-8 engines were presented in the 37th International Vienna Motor Symposium. The new V-8 turbo Panamera Turbo engine’s idea has been taken from Audis latest engines.

It will serve in the Audi cars as well after its commercial making will start. Its basic idea is based on the Audi’s new V-6, 3.0 engine, according to Car and Driver.

This 4.8, V-8 engine is being offered in Panamera and Cayenne. The new Porsche engine is all set to perform in the highest way one can imagine. This engine is designed to give a high-end performance.

The engine is fed by turbo charterers that are twin scrolled. It is a 550 horsepower engine that works on a 5750 rpm, with a 568 lb-ft torque. These characteristics make it equal to the power of Panamera Turbo S which is a 4.8 liter turbo engine.

This new engine is supposed to consume a lot lesser fuel than the predecessor. This was made possible due the cylinder deactivation system introduced in a large part.

This is the reason that the engine can now work between an rpm of 950 and 3500 rpm. This leads to 30 percent less fuel consumption. This engine will also be optimized for a hybrid system car in the future which is a great news for car industry.

This engine is supposed to make an appearance in Audis, Bentleys, VV and Lamborghini in coming year. It is expected that the 2017 Panamera will be fully loaded with this new V-8 engine. It is the matter of time when we will see this amazing engine making the cars run on the full charge.
