Eric Clapton's custom $4.7 million Ferrari- Cool or Ugly?

Nov 7 2012, 12:26pm CST | by

Do not like.

Eric Clapton is one of the most famous musicians around. He's also incredibly rich and likes Ferrari's. That makes it pretty cool in my book. However, Clapton had Ferrari make him a custom one-of-a-kind Ferrari based on a 458 Italia.

My problem is that the car is incredibly ugly. It looks like Clapton was a fan of Magnum PI because this looks like a modernized version of magnums Ferrari. It integrates also remind me more the little of a Tesla Roadster.

Motor Mouth: Why a VW-Fiat merger would be a chaotic disaster

Jul 25 2014 5:00am CDT | Source: Driving Canada

Ferdinand Piech, supervisory board chair
The future success of the rumoured — and much denied — Fiat-Chrysler-Volkswagen merger being bandied about this past week very much depends on whether you believe the success of a corporation is the logical conclusion of capitalistic dynamics or the forceful vision of one charismatic leader. If you believe in the former, then you believe that the logistics will help buffer the giant against business cycles, that is if the Volkswagen Group ...

Power Wheels Jeep gives way to MINI

Jul 24 2014 5:16pm CDT | Source: Driving Canada

Cannes - Cast Of "Be With Me" Portrait Session
Like many of us, Samantha Tan learned the fundamentals of car handling in an electric Power Wheels Jeep when she was six-years old. She fondly recalls driving around the house in it “trying to do 180s” and remarked that even then, she enjoyed the feeling of speed and control. Only a true racer would spend their childhood clipping apexes in the living room. The Power Wheels Jeep gave way to a significantly faster go-kart and, she says, she enjoyed it so much, that she decided to go into racing. ...

Dusty, neglected 1964 Ferrari 250 Lusso could fetch $1.4M

Jul 24 2014 1:49pm CDT | Source: Driving Canada

A Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa of 1958 is sho
Old cars are the best cars. They cough, sputter, leak and smoke. A new Ferrari might be faster but there’s a reason a 458 is a fraction of the value of a Ferrari 250. This dusty 1964 Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso is going up for auction in Monterey, Calif., on Aug. 15 where it’s expected to sell for between $1.4 and $1.8 million. Most rational people would say that $1.4 million is a lot to spend on a dirty old car with ...
